Information About DS3800NPCS
General Electric created the DS3800NPCS to be a part of the Mark IV series. Mark IV is a system of regulation and automation for turbines. The DS3800NPCS is what is known as a field executor snubber module. This product is a type of printed circuit board (PCB).
The DS3800NPCS features four large silver capacitors. These capacitors are lying horizontally on the surface of the circuit board. The capacitors are all labeled with the designator C. Located among these capacitors are four large black resistors which are labeled with the designator R. Four red round metal oxide varistors, or MOVs, are placed together near the center of the DS3800NPCS. These varistors are labeled with the designator MOV, from MOV1-MOV4. Toward the lower side of the circuit board, there are many small resistors. Many of these resistors are solid and light blue. Some of the resistors on the DS3800NPCS are banded in various colors. Four rectangular silver capacitors are also situated near the center of the DS3800NPCS. There are several jumper pins located around the circuit board. There are also two blue jumpers which can be used to connect the pins and change the functions of the DS3800NPCS. Four (4) silicon unilateral switches, or SUSs, are situated near the center of the DS3800NPCS. A silicon unilateral switch is a type of transistor.
