Description 

The DS3800NSCD is a printed circuit board (PCB) engineered as a Speed or Current card for GE’s Mark IV series, tailored for gas and/or steam turbine management. As part of the Mark IV Speedtronic system, it features triple redundant backups on all critical controls and protection parameters to minimize downtime caused by electronics failure. 

Its defining characteristic is the array of ten rotary potentiometers positioned parallel to the right edge, each individually labeled for specific functions such as Speed Feedback, Speed Gain, Reference, Reverse Close Loop, Forward Close Loop, Current Gain, Close Loop Bias, Close Loop Slope, Aux 1, and Aux 2. These potentiometers enable voltage division, with a designated TP test point labeled “TST” located at the end of the potentiometer line for testing purposes. 

For ease of handling and maintenance, the DS3800NSCD is equipped with drilled corners marked for alignment and fitted with extractor clips in each right corner. These clips facilitate insertion or extraction, providing technicians with a handle or lever point and safeguarding components and circuitry during handling.
