Product Description P/N: DS3820PSWA
Description
The DS3820PSWA is a power supply board designed for the Mark IV system, an iteration of GE's Speedtronic gas and steam turbine management system. The Mark IV system utilizes interconnected microprocessors to independently monitor various turbine parameters such as vibration, pressure, flame status, and temperature, while also automating startup, protection, sequencing, and shutdown procedures.
This power supply board features a compact design but is vertically heavy due to its large 300VDC capacitor (C1), secured to the board with a clamp and multiple screws. Additionally, a polyester vinyl m/e 200V capacitor is present. The board includes three resistors of different materials: a carbon composite resistor (R1), a wire wound resistor (R2), and a ceramic covered metal film resistor (R3).

Information About DS3820PSWA
The DS3820PSWA is a power supply board specifically designed for use within the Mark IV system. This system represents the third iteration of General Electric's Speedtronic gas and steam turbine management system, following the MKI and MKII models. Built upon interconnected microprocessors, the Mark IV system independently monitors turbine operation for various issues, including vibration, high pressure, fire, loss of flame, over speed, and over temperature. Additionally, it is equipped to automate startup, gas turbine (GT) protection, control sequencing, and shutdown procedures.
Physically, the DS3820PSWA is relatively compact, albeit vertically heavy due to its (C1) component—a large 300VDC capacitor affixed to the board using a clamp with multiple screws. Another capacitor present on the board is a polyester vinyl m/e 200V capacitor with a tolerance of +/- 10%. Furthermore, the board incorporates three resistors of varying materials: R1, a carbon composite resistor; R2, a wire wound resistor marked 8431 TRW 10W 3K 5%; and R3, a ceramic covered metal film resistor.
A single transformer, marked 138A1012P1, is situated on the DS3820PSWA board. The transformer's casing indicates its specifications as 23V17 "isolation transformer" PRI. 117V 50/60 Hz.
