Information About DS4815CHGA
The DS4815CHGA, manufactured by GE for the Mark IV series, represents a pivotal advancement in gas and steam turbine management systems. This series, being GE’s third commercially available Speedtronic system, pioneered distributed control functions based on integrated microcomputers. This framework continuously monitors the turbine for various issues such as overspeed, over temperature, fire, and high pressure, thereby enhancing reliability and reducing turbine outage rates compared to earlier MKI and MKII Speedtronic systems.
Derived from the DS3800HVDB PCB, the DS4815CHGA is equipped with two mating connectors facilitating communication with other circuit boards. These include a five-pin right-angled male connector on the right side of the board and an AMP 9438 218A4553-1 533002-1 multi-pin connector on the left. Additionally, the board incorporates one brass female SMA right-angled RF connector.
Featuring thirteen jumper switches, the DS4815CHGA integrates a combination of metal film and carbon composite resistors. Additionally, two nylon extractor clips have been added to simplify the installation and extraction processes of the board.
The DS4815CHGA houses over fifty circuits, notably including 4-bit bidirectional universal shift registers with direct overriding clear and positive edge-triggered clocking. These circuits offer four operating modes: right shift, left shift, do nothing, and synchronous parallel load. Furthermore, the board incorporates Schmitt triggers, hex inverters, and octal buffer/line drivers with 3-state outputs.
