Product Description P/N: EL2024
Description
The EL2024 is a 4-channel EtherCAT digital output terminal for 24 V DC control signals with a maximum output current of 2 A per channel. It connects the binary control signals from the automation device to the actuators at the process level with electrical isolation. The terminal supports the direct connection of four 2-wire actuators, facilitated by four ground connection points. Each channel's signal state is indicated by LEDs.

Information About EL2024
The EL2024 is an EtherCAT terminal featuring a 4-channel digital output designed for 24 V DC and a maximum output current of 2 A per channel. The terminal connects binary 24 V DC control signals from the automation device to the actuators at the process level, maintaining electrical isolation. The EL2024 includes four channels, each equipped with an LED to indicate the signal state. The terminal supports the direct connection of four 2-wire actuators, facilitated by four ground connection points.
The EL2024 supports the connection of various load types, including ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads. It is engineered to handle a maximum output current of 2 A per channel, with the outputs being short-circuit proof and protected against reverse polarity. In the event of a short circuit, the typical short-circuit current is less than 70 A. The terminal is also designed to handle a breaking energy of less than 1.7 J per channel.
Switching times for the EL2024 are characterized by a typical TON (turn-on time) of 40 µs and a typical TOFF (turn-off time) of 200 µs. The terminal consumes a typical current of 120 mA from the E-bus and a typical current of 13 mA plus load from the power contacts. The electrical isolation between the E-bus and the field potential is rated at 500 V, ensuring reliable separation of the control and signal circuits.
