The EL2202 is part of Beckhoff’s EtherCAT I/O terminal series and is specifically developed for rapid digital signal output in automation control systems. Each of its two push-pull outputs can be independently switched to 24 V, 0 V, or high-impedance (tristate) mode, providing flexible control for various actuator types. Its very low switching delay—less than 1 microsecond—makes it suitable for applications requiring precise timing, such as high-speed machine control or motion synchronization. The module’s outputs are electrically isolated from the system bus for safety and signal integrity, while its diagnostic LEDs display the state of each output in real time. The EL2202 can also be converted to the distributed clock version (EL2202-0100) for enhanced synchronization accuracy.
