Description 

The EL3174 EtherCAT Terminal is designed for precise analog input processing, offering four configurable channels for signals ranging from -10/0 to +10 V or -20/0/+4 to +20 mA per channel. Each input type (voltage or current) requires separate physical connections and controller configuration via CoE (CANopen over EtherCAT). Voltage inputs operate differentially, while current inputs are single-ended, all digitized with a high-resolution 16-bit accuracy.

The EL3174 EtherCAT Terminal is designed for versatile analog input applications, featuring four channels that are individually configurable. Each channel accommodates signals ranging from -10/0 to +10 V or -20/0/+4 to +20 mA. To ensure proper functionality, voltage and current signals must be connected to distinct terminal points. Channel configuration for voltage (U) or current (I) modes is facilitated via CoE under controller/TwinCAT control. 

Voltage inputs operate differentially, while current inputs are single-ended. All inputs are digitized at a resolution of 16 bits and transmitted to the higher-level automation device with electrical isolation, ensuring signal integrity and reliability. The terminal supports a technical measuring range extending up to ±107% of the nominal range, facilitating sensor calibration within limit ranges. Diagnostics adhere to NAMUR NE43 standards, enabling robust operational monitoring and fault detection.
