Information About EL6224
The EL6224 IO-Link terminal facilitates the connection of up to four IO-Link devices, such as actuators, sensors, or combinations thereof. It establishes a direct point-to-point connection between the terminal and each device. This terminal is configured and controlled through the EtherCAT master, allowing for bidirectional exchange of parameterization data via the IO-Link connection. This enables efficient setup and adjustment of connected IO-Link devices using either TwinCAT through ADS or through the built-in IO-Link configuration tool.
By default, the EL6224 operates as a 4-channel input terminal powered by 24 V DC. It interacts with IO-Link devices to parameterize them and can adjust their operating modes as needed.
The terminal is housed in an HD casing with 16 connection points, supporting each IO-Link device in a 3-wire connection mode setup. For additional 24 V and 0 V connection points, the EL918x potential distributor terminal can be utilized, enhancing flexibility in system configuration and integration.
