The EL6631-0010 is an EtherCAT Terminal designed for 2-port communication interface integration with PROFINET RT devices. Serving as a PROFINET RT controller (master) terminal, the EL6631 supports comprehensive real-time functionality (RT) and offers extensive diagnostic capabilities. It adheres to Conformance Class B standards, ensuring compatibility with all associated services. The terminal allows projection of up to 15 PROFINET RT devices, facilitating a scalable and efficient network configuration.

In its role as a PROFINET RT device (slave) terminal, the EL6631-0010 facilitates the straightforward exchange of data between EtherCAT and PROFINET RT. Positioned within the EtherCAT strand, accommodating up to 65,535 devices, the EL6631-0010 features a 3-port switch. Notably, two of these ports are externally accessible through RJ45 sockets, enabling the creation of I/O stations structured in a line topology. This configuration optimizes wiring procedures, contributing to a streamlined and efficient network setup.

Furthermore, the EL6631-0010 boasts a maximum communication distance of 100 meters between two devices, ensuring flexibility in deployment scenarios.
