Information About W-MMF
The W-MMF is part of the Fire-Lite SWIFT wireless fire alarm platform and provides an addressable interface for devices such as manual pull stations, waterflow switches, and other dry-contact inputs. Its supervised input is non-latching, eliminating the need for a reset after the monitored contact returns to its normal condition. The module uses rotary decade address switches, a panel-controlled LED indicator, and frequency-hopping mesh communication to provide redundant wireless paths through a compatible SWIFT gateway. Powered by four CR123A lithium batteries, it is suitable for retrofit installations and locations where conventional SLC field wiring to individual initiating devices would be difficult or impractical.
Key Features:
- Wireless Monitor Interface: Supervises dry-contact devices and reports their status to the compatible fire alarm control system.
- Class A or Class B Input: Supports either Style D (Class A) or Style B (Class B) supervised initiating device circuits.
- SWIFT Mesh Communication: Uses a robust bi-directional wireless mesh network for communication with the gateway and FACP.
- 902–928 MHz Operation: Operates within the 902–928 MHz radio-frequency band with frequency-hopping technology.
- Addressable Operation: Rotary decade switches allow the module address to be configured during installation.
- Non-Latching Input: Monitored input automatically restores when the connected contact returns to its normal state.
- Low Current Consumption: Average operating current is approximately 210 µA with a 3.9 kΩ end-of-line resistor.
- Battery Powered: Uses four Panasonic CR123A or Duracell DL123A lithium batteries with a minimum specified battery life of two years.
- Panel-Controlled LED: Integrated LED provides system-controlled visual status indication and draws up to 5.0 mA when illuminated.
- Supervised Field Circuit: Supports a 3.9 kΩ EOL resistor with maximum IDC wiring resistance of 10 Ω.
- Flexible Installation: Compact 4.25 × 4.25 × 1.5 in housing is suitable for mounting with the SMB500 electrical box.
- Commercial Fire Alarm Integration: Designed for SWIFT-equipped Fire-Lite addressable systems, including compatible legacy and current Fire-Lite panel configurations.
The W-MMF delivers the reliability and precision required for wireless supervision of dry-contact initiating devices in addressable fire alarm systems.
