Both the Mark I and Mark II systems primarily focus on functions such as controlling turbine output power across load ranges, maintaining consistent maximum output, sequencing turbine and auxiliary operations during startup, implementing protective shutdown procedures in the event of system failures, and monitoring and annunciating malfunctions.
