The Mark I was the first system created for the Mark turbine control series, followed by the Mark II. The very first Mark system was installed in a turbine in Long Island in 1968. The Mark II system was first introduced a few years later in 1971. The Mark systems operate equipment in a variety of applications, including in utility, marine, pipeline, and process combined cycles. The Mark series provides starting and operation reliability, accurate performance, long life, and adaptability to various turbine processes. The Mark I and Mark II manage such functions as startup, shutdown and cooldown, speed and load control, water and gas injection, troubleshooting, and safety for both equipment and operators. The systems as designed to handle all liquid fuels through the entire distillate range.

A series of twenty (20) large metal prongs is located near the top of the IC3600QIXB1 board. These prongs are arranged together in groups of five which are aligned in a row. Each group is labeled at the top in yellow writing. Along the lower edge of the IC3600QIXB1, there is another group of large metal prongs. These prongs are arranged in a long row which spans the length of the board. These prongs are also labeled with numbers in yellow print. These two rows of metal prongs are attached to each other by a number of white wires.
