Information About IC3600SFPB1B1C
The IC3600SFPB1B1C is one of several models in General Electric’s Speedtronic series of control system circuit boards for industrial gas turbines. These turbines were developed and built initially in 1968, after testing in New York, but then sold to the public in the early 1970’s.
This model of the Speedtronic series, is an Input/Output processor module, which contains a temperature sensor, which, upon detecting excess temperature beyond the nominal range, generates the diagnostic alarm. The IC3600SFPB1B1C model also makes sure to log the temperature readings into its internal database system.
The model’s power intake measures up to a regulated, nominal feed of 28 volts of direct current in order for each Input and Output port. The negative side of the DC voltage intake is grounded by the I/O enclosure and the mounting base, while the positive side is protected by a solid state circuit, with a nominal 2 Ampere trip point.
The IC3600SFPB1B1C processor’s signal flow is only achieved with a sensor, connected via an onboard terminal block. Two types of board are compatible with this processor: T-type boards containing a pair of 24 point, barriered, removable, terminal blocks. Each point can accept two 12 AWG wires with 300 volt insulation. A shield strip is provided next to each block, which is actually the left-hand side of the metal base where the board is mounted. These T-type boards are normally surface mounted, but can also be DIN-rail mounted.
