The IC693ALG221 is an Analog Current Input Module designed for the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). With the addition of a jumper to the I/O terminal board, the input range can be adjusted, with each 800 count equaling 0.5 mA. The IC693ALG221 module allows for a conversion speed of one-half milliseconds per channel, with an update rate of two milliseconds for any provided channel. It delivers a resolution speed of 12 bits over the chosen range, with percent AI user data registers in 16-bit 2’s complement format. In case of a reverse current source into the input, the module will output a data word corresponding to the low end of the range.

This module provides adequate input protection, capable of operating with reduced performance under common mode settings of up to 200 V. It also offers electrical isolation from external noise. Field connections require a high-quality twisted, shielded instrumentation cable connected to the COM or GND. An LED indicator monitors power supply operation.
