Other communication protocols supported by the IC693CPU363 are Ethernet, FIP, Profibus, GBC, GCM, GCM+ option modules.
The IC693CPU363 is a single slot module. It is capable of handling up to Eight (8) baseplates, including the local baseplate to which the IC693CPU363 is installed. Up to Seven (7) remote or distributed I/O is supported by the IC693CPU363.
Three built-in serial ports are available on the IC693CPU363 CPU module. The serial port that is accessible through the power supply connector supports both SNP/SNPX slave protocols. This serial port has a 15-pin D-type female connector which can be accessed by opening the hinged door on the right front of the power supply. This serial port can be used for connecting to a PC that is running programming software or a GE Fanuc hand-held programmer. Serial Ports 1 and 2 support the SNP/SNPX master/slave and RTU slave protocols. Optional Ethernet and Profibus communication modules are available and can be used with the IC693CPU363 CPU module. The IC693CPU363 module supports the periodic subroutine feature. In addition to the user RAM, the IC693CPU363 CPU module also supports Flash memory which is used for storing the CPU firmware. With firmware Release 9.0, the module also supports floating point math.
