Information About IPCAM-PT
The Honeywell iPCAM-PT is a color video at up to 640 x 480 resolution while providing for pan/tilt control and adjustable video motion detection. Plug this camera into a standard A/C wall outlet and, with an active wireless internet connection, you are ready to view live video from anywhere. You also can add a 9' power extension cable if there isn't an outlet near where you want to mount the camera. Unlike the wireless fixed IP camera, this camera's field-of-view can be remotely controlled. When looking in live to your property, you can pan the camera left and right for a total of 300° and tilt the camera up and down for a total of 120°. The privacy button on the camera allows you to turn off remote viewing and recording as an added security feature. If the privacy button is activated, you would only be able to view the cameras if you were on site at the location being protected.
This wireless camera can be used as a standalone video surveillance system, or it can be integrated with any Honeywell security system when you choose one of GeoArm's Total Connect and video alarm monitoring plans. AlarmNet's interactive Total Connect alarm monitoring with video surveillance allows you to look in live to your property anytime and anywhere as long as you have a web enabled PDA, cell phone, or computer. You also would have the ability to record video whenever an alarm occurs or a camera detects motion. Unlike an expensive traditional digital video recorder (DVR) surveillance system which stores its data on site, the IPCAM-PT transmits its data to an offsite remote location ensuring the security of your recordings. Unlike other video surveillance solutions, Total Connect's IP video service does not need a digital video recorder (DVR). The only requirement is an AlarmNet IP camera, power and broadband internet service at the location, as well as a wireless router if you want true wireless flexibility. The recorded video gets stored securely offsite in the AlarmNet Network Control Center so there is never a threat of video being destroyed onsite. With standalone video surveillance you would be able to remotely log in from a computer, PDA, or cell phone to view live video footage or recorded clips and receive notification of new recorded video.
Product Features:
Access live and recorded video clips via the internet using iPhone, Blackberry, or other supported mobile device
View live video from one or more of the cameras simultaneously
Receive alerts with optional video attachments whenever new video is recorded
Customize recording settings based on events, video motion detection, or time of day
Record and store video securely on AlarmNet's remote servers (no local DVR or computer required)
Flash upgradeable firmware allows for remote updates
Cameras include built-in 802.11/WiFi connectivity
Remote pan/tilt control
Bright light LEDs provide auxiliary light up to 15ft
