Information About IS200EXIBG1AEB
The IS200EXIBG1AEB is a GE PCB component manufactured as part of the Mark VI series. The Speedronic series, which the Mark VI is part of, began production in 1969 with the much simpler Mark I series. For several decades the Speedtronic series was GE’s premier gas/steam turbine management system. When the Mark VI was released in the late 1990s, it had over thirty years of research and development invested in its hardware and software.
As an Exciter Bridge Interface Board, the IS200EXIBG1AEB provides nearly all of the interface functions between the Drive’s exciter bridge and the EXIC board. The only real exception to this comes from the bridge ambient temperature thermistor; the inputs from here connect directly to the EXIC board. The IS200EXIBG1AEB takes care of such functions as SCR gating, MOV fuse loss detection, shunt scaling, current feedback, and ac and dc voltage feedback. The IS200EXIBG1AEB can be used in 3300V or 6600V versions of the SP Drive and is mounted to the rear side of the hinged panel that also holds the EXIC board.
The IS200EXIBG1AEB is built with six transformers located in a line near the rear edge of the board. These transformers line up with six of the ten plugs located on the board. The board also has nine stab-on connectors. On the other side of the transformers, the board is populated by polyester vinyl capacitors and resistors of various materials. The board has eleven high-voltage electrolytic capacitors. The board also has sixteen heat sink components to more quickly dissipate any built up heat generated by components. The board has forty-seven TP test points, nine LEDs, two coil inductors, and several resistor network arrays.
