The IS220YDOAS1A, functioning as a YDOA (Discrete Output Analog) module, serves as a pivotal component for interfacing a discrete output terminal board and up to two I/O Ethernet networks. Its primary architecture encompasses an acquisition board and a common processor board, which collectively facilitate discrete output functions. A notable feature of this module is its capacity to oversee the operation of up to twelve potential relays while accommodating specific feedback from terminal boards. Output provision is executed via a DC-37 pin connector, directly interfacing with the associated terminal board. 

This module offers flexibility in redundancy configurations, supporting both TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) and simplex redundancy applications. TMR redundancy necessitates three I/O packs, whereas simplex redundancy only requires one. It boasts self-diagnostic capabilities, notably including a comprehensive power-up test examining processor board hardware, flash memory, Ethernet ports, and RAM. Diagnostic details are retrievable through the ToolboxST application specifically designed for the YDOA pack. 

Featuring twelve LEDs for status indication, each signifies the presence of a command capable of energizing the relay. Notably, yellow LEDs denote active outputs. The IS220YDOAS1A also incorporates specific alarms designed to alert users to a range of potential errors. The 142 alarm, for instance, signals the absence of terminal board excitation or blown fuses. Remedial actions for this alarm entail either I/O pack replacement or complete terminal board replacement.
