Information About IS5403-00

The IS5403-00 is a baseline version of the 5403 model in the In-Sight 5000 series by Cognex. The high speed rating and resolution set this model apart from other In-Sight 5000 models. Its speed rating of 12x means that it functions 12 times faster than the Micro 1020, another In-Sight model. Its resolution of 1600 x 1200 puts it at the high end of the In-Sight 5000 series and allows much more detailed imagery to be taken during operation. As a baseline model, it does not come with Patmax technology or expanded memory features of future versions. This makes it a more economical option for situations in which those features are not necessarily required. For example, the program memory on this model can be unlimited if it is connected to a remote network device, so some situations may not require more than the 32 MB of program memory that is on this model.

Compatibility

In-Sight firmware version 2.80.01 PR1 is the earliest firmware supported for the IS5403-00. There are no discrete inputs on the IS5403-00, but there are 2 discrete outputs. Further I/O modules can be installed to add inputs and outputs as needed. Some compatible models include the CIO-1400, CIO-MICRO, and CIO-MICRO-CC I/O modules from Cognex.
