It uses a 940 nm infrared LED emitter and is capable of detecting small objects, including fine threads or wires, within close proximity of the sensing face. The sensing range extends up to 3 inches when referenced to a 90% reflective white test card. The housing is fully encapsulated and constructed from blue anodized aluminum, meeting multiple NEMA enclosure ratings.
