Information About NFC-50/100DA
The NFC-50/100DA is a NOTIFIER FirstCommand distributed amplifier built specifically for use with the NFC-50/100(E) emergency voice evacuation platform. Its self-contained architecture incorporates an audio amplifier, power supply, battery charger, and eight supervised speaker circuits, allowing the unit to be positioned closer to protected areas to reduce speaker wiring requirements. The amplifier supports field-selectable 25 Vrms or 70 Vrms speaker operation and Class A (Style Z) or Class B (Style Y) circuit wiring. Depending on configuration, it provides 50 W primary with 50 W backup, 100 W primary without backup, or 100 W primary with 50 W backup when the optional NFC-BDA-BU module is installed.
Key Features:
- Configurable Audio Power: Supports 50 W primary/50 W backup, 100 W primary, or 100 W primary/50 W backup configurations.
- Backup Amplifier Capability: Provides redundant audio amplification, with the NFC-BDA-BU required for the 100 W primary plus 50 W backup configuration.
- Eight Speaker Circuits: Includes eight onboard fully supervised speaker circuits/zones.
- Selectable Speaker Voltage: Field configurable for either 25 Vrms or 70 Vrms speaker operation.
- Class A or Class B Wiring: Supports Class A (Style Z) and Class B (Style Y) speaker circuit configurations.
- 120 VAC Input: The NFC-50/100DA operates from a 120 VAC, 60 Hz primary power source.
- Integrated Battery Charger: Built-in charging circuitry supports lead-acid standby batteries from 7 Ah through 35 Ah, with up to 18 Ah accommodated inside the standard cabinet.
- FirstCommand Integration: Connects to the NFC-50/100(E) through its data bus and Audio-Riser bus for supervised distributed audio operation.
The NFC-50/100DA delivers the reliability and precision required for distributed emergency voice evacuation and fire alarm speaker amplification.
