The thermal magnetic trip mechanism of the QBHW2060 provides reliable overcurrent protection. The thermal element responds to moderate overcurrent conditions, providing time-delayed tripping to allow for temporary surges that are common in motor starting applications. The magnetic element responds instantaneously to severe overcurrent conditions, such as short circuits, ensuring rapid disconnection of the circuit to protect the electrical system and connected equipment.
