S29370 | Schneider Electric Circuit Breaker Accessory

The S29370 is a circuit breaker accessory designed for use with PowerPacT B, H, J, and L frame circuit breakers. This accessory is a removable padlock handle that allows the handle to be locked in the OFF position only. The primary function of this accessory is to enhance the safety and security of electrical systems by preventing unauthorized operation of the circuit breaker. 

The PowerPacT J-frame circuit breakers, compatible with this accessory, are designed to protect electrical systems from damage caused by overloads and short circuits. These J-frame circuit breakers are available with either thermal-magnetic or Micrologic™ electronic trip units, providing flexibility in application and protection. The thermal trip elements in these circuit breakers are calibrated at a temperature of 104°F (40°C) in free air ambient conditions. This calibration ensures accurate and reliable performance of the circuit breakers under typical operating conditions. 

According to the National Electric Code® (NEC®) and the Canadian Electrical Code, standard circuit breakers, including those in the PowerPacT J-frame series, are to be applied continuously at up to 80% of their rated capacity. This derating requirement ensures that the circuit breakers operate within safe thermal limits and maintain long-term reliability. The S29370 accessory adheres to these standards, thereby ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements when used with the appropriate circuit breakers.
