Information About PXC5.E24
The PXC5.E24 is a Siemens Desigo PX freely programmable automation station with 24 integrated input and output points for direct connection of sensors, actuators, contacts, and controlled equipment. Its onboard configuration consists of eight universal input and output points, eight super universal input and output points, two digital inputs, and six relay outputs, while compatible TXM modules can expand the system to as many as 80 physical input and output points. The controller provides Ethernet, RS-485, and KNX PL-Link connectivity and supports BACnet over Internet Protocol, BACnet Secure Connect, BACnet Master-Slave/Token-Passing, and Modbus integration. Engineering and commissioning are performed with Siemens ABT Site, while an embedded web interface provides local access to device data and commissioning functions.
Key Features:
- 24 Onboard Input and Output Points: Includes eight universal points, eight super universal points, two digital inputs, and six relay outputs.
- Expandable Input and Output Architecture: Compatible TXM modules can increase the physical input and output capacity from 24 onboard points to a maximum of 80 points.
- BACnet Secure Connect: Supports encrypted BACnet Secure Connect communication and can support as many as 100 devices when operating as a BACnet Secure Connect hub.
- BACnet over Internet Protocol: Provides building automation communication over its Ethernet interfaces using the BACnet protocol.
- Modbus Integration: Supports Modbus Transmission Control Protocol and Modbus Remote Terminal Unit communication for integration of compatible third-party equipment.
- Dual RS-485 Interfaces: Provides two configurable RS-485 interfaces that can be assigned to Modbus Remote Terminal Unit or BACnet Master-Slave/Token-Passing networks.
- KNX PL-Link Support: Connects compatible Siemens room thermostats, sensors, operator units, and other field devices, with support for up to 64 KNX PL-Link devices.
- Flexible 24-Volt Supply: Operates from either 24 volts alternating current or 24 volts direct current, allowing integration into common building automation power architectures.
The PXC5.E24 delivers the reliability and precision required for programmable heating, ventilation, air conditioning, field-device integration, and building automation control.
