Description 

The Vesda® VLS-214 is a LaserSCANNER aspirating smoke detector equipped with a centrally mounted LCD Programmer Module and Scanner Display Module, featuring 7 programmable relays. It uses advanced laser-based detection technology combined with a sector-scanning valve mechanism to identify which of four sampling pipes contains smoke. This intelligent design enables fast, precise identification of fire origins and delivers very early warning smoke detection for high-value or complex environments.

The VLS-214 is part of the VESDA LaserSCANNER (VLS) series, an advanced variant of the LaserPLUS detector that introduces a valve manifold and intelligent control software for multi-sector monitoring. Each of its four inlet pipes can function as an independent detection sector within a single zone, allowing localized detection and alarm reporting. When smoke is detected, the system initiates an Adaptive Scan process to identify the First Alarm Sector (FAS) and monitor fire progression across all pipes. The detector features AutoLearn™ and Referencing™ software to automatically set alarm thresholds and eliminate false alarms caused by external air contamination. With VESDAnet™ networking and modular display options, the VLS-214 offers powerful, networked detection control for mission-critical applications.
